Regenerative & Longevity Medicine

What is Longevity Medicine?

Longevity Medicine applies scientific and medical technologies for the early
detection, prevention, treatment, and reversal of age-related discomforts and
diseases. This includes genetic, physiological and nutritional testing to develop a
customized plan for keeping your body supported and nourished.

Hormones and Longevity

Longevity medicine specifically looks at one’s hormone levels to check if they are in
balance. As we age, our sex hormones often decline. Receptors for sex hormones,
such as testosterone and estrogen, are located throughout the body. Declining levels
of these hormones can begin as early as in the late twenties to early thirties, and be
a sign of premature aging.

A person may not become symptomatic from decreasing hormone levels until they
have reached their late forties or later. A person may then begin to complain about
fatigue, mood shifts, or decreased sexual function.

With appropriate hormone supplementation, patients often regain their vitality and
energy level. More specifically, bio-identical hormone therapy is considered relatively
safe since they are derived from plants and mimic our body’s sex hormones. Once
sex hormones levels are enhanced, a person’s brain power, sex drive, and energy
levels are boosted.

Our goal at the Institute is to first optimize one’s health and then to create a
maintenance plan so a person can age gracefully. By keeping a your hormone levels
in balance in conjunction with a balanced diet, you can reach your optimal level of
health and enjoy a great quality of life.
